Always a place in our hearts

As a couple in the world of dogs, Christy and I have shared the love of some very special canine partners, who have crossed the rainbow bridge to the placen where we will someday hold them again.

Cooper was the second Great dog in my life.  I was blessed with Bear and double blessed with Cooper.  He hunted with me and showed with Christy.

Not only was "Coop" my hunting partner, he was my constant companion.  At just over 2 years old, Coop and I certified as a "Therapy dog team" and we began visiting and helping with handicapped persons in their rehab.  Cooper soon got so good that we went on and got special certifications for rehab with the elderly.

CH VJK's Autum's Casey Rose, "Casey"

Although CJ and I never really agreed on this little girl, I fell for her at first sight.  Casey turned out to be a shining star and when crossed with Coop she provided us some great puppies and proved to be a super mom.

AKC Ch Coldwater's Worth the Wait      "Jasmine"

Jasmine was a product of a cross between Cooper and Casey, she was very much a lady and super lovable.  She hunted well and loved to keep everyone busy finding things she would hide.

Bear was one of a kind.  He was a constant companion and true family protector.  More times than I can say he made sure we were all safe.

He was never a show dog but produced several working/protection and companion dogs.  He could go over an 8 foot kennel before you could get to the gate.

He would kidnap his own kids when they got to be 4 or 5 months old, take them on a country run and leave them.  We always found them in a day or two. But he didn't want to share his family with them.  When it was time for them to leave, Bear would show them the door.

Bear was one of the greatest most loyal and loveable dogs I've ever been owned by.

AKC CH Meadowbrooks Aurora Borials was our Russell Terrier Foundation Bitch.  We laid her to rest on the hill overlooking the yard this past summer.  We continue her line with her two daughters, Tara and Lucy.
